![]() ![]() I set it so if i loose connection or the batterys die in the tx or fall out it the servo brakes. I have a futaba 3pm 2.4ghz and it has a failsafe on it. What can i do to fix this? A new fail safe that works with my tansmitter? but i think it might not work with spektrum? Because when my transmitter shuts off (rarely happens but i don't want to blow my engine) my throttle still goes to full speed I tried to hook up a fail safe called the race guard micro by dynamite. then i have to take out the batteries and bend the metal prong in the battery compartment on my spektrum transmitter)īy the time i fix my spektrum tansmitter my car throttle goes to full speed and takes off. (on my remote the stack of batteries sometimes loses connection with the metal prongs which means my transmitter shuts off. But what if your transmitter runs out of batteries or the batteries fall out of the Transmitter? What can i do to stop my car from going full speed from my transmitter losing connection by the battery falling out? I have the spektrum dx3 and a return spring. Your original question was how do you eliminate the optidrive.just remove it and plug the servos into the receiver.and put the dust cover on the sensor hole in the tranny.but now you have no electronic way of preventing the truck from shifting into reverse while it is moving forward which is the opti drives main job.not too mention the fact that it acts as a failsafe returning the throttle servo to neutral in case of a loss of signal. The opti drive really has nothing to do with the shifting servo going bad.I'd guess thats a linkage issue.like the EPA is too much for the linkage or its binding somehow and burning out the servo. Traxxas came out with the FOC trannies because the custmers have been asking for it for like 7 yrs LOL the reverse gearsd and their extra weight are needed if you want to have a reverse.if you don't want reverse than buy a FOC kit and follow the instructions Shouldn't this say +2 matt since you have posted the same thing twice in one thread LOL. The endĭefinitely +1 here!!! the reverse eventually gets to be a pain in the u know what and and the reverse gears just add extra weight thats not needed which are probably among a few other reasons that traxxas ended up taking out the opti-drive and reverse gears and reverse micro servo on the newest/most recent revision of the revo 3.3. Buy a FOC, grab the opti drive and throw it as far as you can or hit it with a baseball bat or smash it. ![]()
